  • A well-balanced diet, especially high in antioxidants, gives your skin the tools to repair itself.
  • Get plenty of sleep, your body uses this time to rest, recover and repair itself.
  • Avoid sun exposure and always wear sunscreen to decrease the risk of premature ageing.
  • Live a smoke-free lifestyle; smoking causes skin fibres to weaken and break down and creates premature ageing.

Anti-ageing Treatments

The list of anti ageing treatments available is endless, but for those who are looking for a natural skin care and anti ageing therapy, you’ll find that Vitamin C and E are the main ingredients used in anti ageing treatments and collagen production. They are both antioxidants, and as such, prevent your skin from being oxidised by harmful free radicals in the environment.

Be aware though, Vitamin C is a fairly fragile antioxidant and may be oxidised if you leave the jar open for prolonged periods. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that is often added to massage oils to prolong their life, and also give the added benefit of anti ageing therapy.

Carotene, which is found in Evening Primrose Oil, leafy vegetables and legumes, helps combat free radicals and assists in reversing any damage already done to your skin.

Vitamins B2-B12 are beneficial in speeding up recovery to the immune system. Phytochemicals, which are plant-based, are known for their qualities in preventing serious illness, such as cancers. They are found in tomatoes, apples, cocoa, cranberries, carrots and much more.
